Thoreau

Why didn't anybody told me this 30 years ago?? Hum?
"Despite what you may have been taught, your sensitivity doesn’t make you weak. It doesn’t make you too emotional, too soft, or in any way too much. It has always been and will always be a strength. The truth is that you can be soft and stillbe strong. You aren’t a rock, immune to the shift and pull of the world around you. You’re the ocean. Always ebbing and flowing; easily affected by the moon and the weather. But immense and deep. Resilient and powerful. Bounding with life. Yes, you feel things intensely and yes, you’re easily wounded by others. But it’s the intensity of your feelings that gives you such incredible insight into who you are and what you need to feel whole. It’s that intensity that makes you deeply connected to yourself and the world around you. And it’s your wounds that allow you to be empathetic and compassionate towards the wounds of others. Wounds that give you an awareness to recognize when people are hurting, and tools to offer support in ways that less sensitive people might not be able to. I know that it’s so hard to believe in the moment when you feel incapacitated by your feelings, but your sensitivity is a truly a gift. Don’t let anyone, including yourself, convince you otherwise."

.... do meu animal totem... que me diz tanto :)
E, finalmente, as asas libertam a borboleta!

“The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life begins.”

“How are you?
No,
don’t tell me that you’re doing good
or that you are fine,
you and I both know that you are so far from both of those things,
tell me,
when was the last time you thought about death?
When was the last time you cried and what finally made the tears fall after all that time?
what is your story of loss?
What words break you?
What words put you back together?
When was the first time you understood the depth of the word “goodbye?”
When was the first time the only thing you could do was lay on the floor and cry because nothing else in the world made sense but brokenness?
When was the last time you really and truly laughed?
Can you remember that far back?
What was on your mind when you got those scars on your leg?
What lies have you believed lately?
When was the first time you understood what “I love you” meant?
Who made you so broken?
Have you even tried to put yourself back together?
Tell me,
tell me,
do you love yourself?
how much of your skin can you find constellations in?
have you ever tried to understand your eyes?
have you pressed your fingertips to your own lips hoping nothing else mattered in the world if your lips were your own?
have you ever made yourself believe the lie that you aren’t worth it?
why?
how is the weather in your heart?
is it a hurricane or a tsunami?
is there fog surrounding your soul?
have you ever loved another more than you loved to breathe?
when was the last time you really and truly believed that your life was worth living?”

"My greatest victory has been to be able to live with myself, to accept my shortcomings. I’m a long way from the human being I’d liked to be, but I’ve decided I’m not so bad after all."
Audrey Hepburn

Passamos tanto tempo querendo, buscando, desejando. Mas ambição é algo bom. Perseguir as coisas com integridade é algo bom. Sonhar. Diga. Faça. Não espere. Nada dura para sempre. Faça um pedido e guarde no coração. Qualquer coisa que você quiser. Tudo que você quiser. Fez? Ótimo. Agora acredite que pode se tornar realidade. Você nunca sabe de onde virá o próximo milagre. A próxima memória. Fez? Ótimo. Agora acredite nele. Com todo o seu coração.”

"I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it’s true I’m here, and I’m just as strange as you."
Frida Kahlo

Nunca isto foi tão verdade.

To read every day... ou então imprimir e colocar na carteira. Sem falta.
"If ever you wake up in the morning and think to yourself that life isn't going the way that you planned and is much harder than you think you can handle, remember that our lives have been created by a power far greater than you and I. A power that can see the entire picture, not just today, and knows what is best for us, whether WE think so or not. Know that we are never handed anything that our angels know we can't handle. We must have faith that everything is precisely how it should be, at this given moment, right where we are. If you're ever in a place where you feel lost and confused, ask your angels for guidance, open yourself up to receiving their signs, and follow your heart. We're on a learning journey. Do not fret over the things you should have done and wished were different. You are exactly where you should be. Smile, my friends. Every little thing is alright." ♥ Your Ladybug
